ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - RIVER MEADOWS NURSING HOME
River Meadows is one of Springcare group’s Shropshire nursing homes.
Situated in the quiet village of Edgebolton, Shawbury, the home is set within lovely surroundings with extensive views over open countryside.
The building comprises of an original two storey converted country house with a morerecently added purpose-built single storey wing. There are a variety of communal areas including three lounges and a conservatory where residents are able to relax, socialise or take part in the home’s activities programme.
The majority of rooms are single occupancy and many have en-suite facilities. All areas are maintained to a high standard and provide welcoming and comfortable surroundings. A lift provides access to the second floor.
Set within its own grounds the home enjoys views of the countryside from most aspects of the building and is a prime site for bird watching.
The well maintained grounds have lawns, flower beds and seating areas which are easily accessible to residents.
Residents at River Meadows currently care for two pet cats.
River Meadows has good links to the larger towns in North Shropshire. A bus service which stops close to the home runs to nearby Wellington and Shrewsbury for those residents who wish to visit local areas. Visitors are always welcome.

River Meadows is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide accommodation, nursing and personal care for a total of up to forty four older people and young adults.
All of our homes are non smoking for the benefit of both residents and staff.
