ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - RIDGEWAY LODGE RESIDENTIAL HOME
Ridgeway Lodge is a purpose-built home in Dunstable, a quiet residential area of Bedfordshire. It is conveniently located on a bus route, and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a park.
The care we offer We offer residential care, specialist residential dementia care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. Our standards of care are excellent and we employ only registered nurses and care assistants who provide excellent 24-hour care in a professional, respectful way.
Food Meals are an important part of the day at Ridgeway Lodge, and our experienced chef creates a wide range of balanced, nutritious dishes. This appetising food is prepared each day, using only the best seasonal ingredients. All tastes and dietary requirements are catered for. Residents can choose to eat in our dining rooms, or in their bedroom if they prefer.
Activities The dedicated activity co-ordinator takes into account the residents’ interests and levels of ability. This ensures that there’s always something interesting and stimulating to do. Activities include quizzes, arts and crafts, carpet bowls, gardening, and sing-a-longs with musical instruments.
We regularly arrange outings to places such as Dunstable Downs and Whipsnade Zoo, or to local garden centres and restaurants. We actively encourage friends and relatives to participate in our home’s activities. The home takes part in at least 12 themed activities throughout the year which might include Burns night, Mother’s day and Halloween among others.
