Redwell Hills care home is a purpose built two storey care home providing gereral nursing care,residential care for older persons and persons with dementia for up to 48 residents.The home is situated on the outskirts of leadgate near consett.Redwell Hills enjoys its own courtyard patio area and gardens which are all safe and secure for families and residents to enjoy.The home is within easy reach of shops and local amenities.The home was built on the local church school,which in its time was the focal point of this ex mining villageand boasts of picturesque views across the derwent valley.
Tastefully decorated throughout and features quiet rooms,tv lounges and a separate dining room offering home cooked meals catering for all nutritional needs and diets .There is a lift available for easy access between the floors.The majority of the rooms are en-suite and residents are actively encouraged to personalise their rooms to make it feel home from home,rooms have a television and telephone point.The home is caring and friendly and prides itself in that residents like to live in Redwells.
The home has on site laundry facilities,a kitchen and treatment rooms.There are regular visits from GP's,opticians,dentists ,chiropodists and other care providers.Complementarry therapies are available.
The home has several spacious bathrooms and shower rooms and toilets strategically located throughout the home.
Redwell hills offers activities which are arranged by the activities coordinator ranging from the exercise class,film afternoon and favorites such as bingo.We facilitate outings to local areas and shopping trips to the Metro Centre.The home supports local charities and fund raising and are delighted when we are joined by our families and residents. Types of stay include respite ,short stay residential and permanent.We cater for dementia residents in our safe secure EMI unit which is small and intermit having only 14 rooms.
