ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - REDMOND HOUSE
Redmond House is a purpose built service where we provide support to six individuals with learning disabilities and multiple complex needs.
The service features high levels of specialist support, with the communal and personal areas designed not only to create a warm, friendly and homely environment, but also to support people with multiple and complex needs.
The supporting team receive specialist training and support in order to maximise the potential of those living in the service, while focusing on keeping them safe and free from harm and addressing the issues surrounding their complex needs.
We aim to ensure that everyone living in the service has every opportunity to develop and build on their skills. At Redmond House we look beyond the disability and see the person and their potential, with opportunities to move on into the local community.
The service is situated in Corby and has ready access to local healthcare services and shops within the town. There are also college courses available locally. The service provided is primarily for younger adults.
The service features generous personal space and each of the six bedrooms have en-suite facilities. All bedrooms have the potential for ceiling tracking mounted sling hoists to provide safe and comfortable support to those who may require this facility. The spacious communal areas include a large lounge, a dining room and a well appointed kitchen, as well as an activity room.
We encourage people to make use of local facilities as much as possible. Activities offered include discos, cinema trips, ice-skating at a rink which caters for people with physical disabilities, horse-riding, hydrotherapy and swimming.
