ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - RECTORY HOUSE
Rectory House provides 24 hour residential support for adults with learning disabilities. We encourage independence and involvement with every aspect of daily living. Our main aim is to provide a homely environment for all the people who live at Rectory House, and encourage them to be involved in the community.
Rectory House offers a supportive and therapeutic environment for all its residents. To encourage a homely atmosphere, each individual is encouraged to personalise their room to their own taste and preference.
We encourage the residents of Rectory House to engage in the local community as frequently as possible with visits to the Gateway Club in Folkestone & Maidstone and swimming at Mote Park Leisure Centre. Other outings have included visits to the Butterfly Club in Maidstone, RDA horse riding at Leybourne Grange, trampolining at Black Lions Leisure Centre in Gillingham, five-a-side football in Ashford, conservation volunteering work with Medway Conservation Partnership, and many more. Some residents also help out at the North School in Ashford Farm.
In the gardens of Rectory House we have a small poly tunnel and a vegetable patch which our residents are actively involved in maintaining. We encourage our residents to pick the crops when they are ready, and the produce is used in the kitchens to create delicious daily meals.
