ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - QUEEN ELIZABETH'S FOUNDATION DORINCOURT
Dorincourt is a residential transition centre that provides training and personal development for young people with a range of complex physical and learning disabilities. There is a range of accommodation styles on site for clients to try out, and a weekday activity programme designed to help clients develop the life and social skills.
As a transition centre we do expect clients to move on to living in the community when appropriate. However, we do not place any time constraints on the length of any individual placement as each person's needs and development is unique.
Funding is usually obtained through social services, but can also be through Health or private. We accept placements from anywhere in the UK, but due to our location the majority come from London and the SE.
