ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - PRINCE OF WALES HOUSE
Prince of Wales is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 49 older people. The service also provides specialist care for people living with dementia.
In 2006 the Prince of Wales House increased its capacity by registering to accommodate up to 22 residents who have a diagnosis of dementia, therefore needing specific care arising from this condition. A full assessment is undertaken prior to admission to ensure we are able to fully meet your needs.The homes person centred approach means that we focus on the individual with the aim to enhance the comfort, pleasure and well being of those who have made their home with us.We have an on going activities programme with a variety of activities specially created after consultation with the service users and families. This enables us to feel that we are developing confidence and trust throughout the home.As a home we liase regularly with the social services department and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The home is situated in a residential area to the south of Ipswich. Ipswich is a thriving market town in the heart of East Anglia, offering various retail and entertainment facilities.
