ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - PELTON GRANGE CARE HOME
Located in Pelton near the market town of Chester-le-Street in County Durham, Pelton Grange Care Home has been a well loved part of the community for over 20 years. Pelton Grange stands in its own grounds and has colourful, mature gardens with a variety of seating areas. The home also has a large patio area that is used for our summer fairs and barbecues.
Pelton Grange has two floors catering to the individual needs of its clients. The Ground floor is for Residential Care and there is a large conservatory, lounge and reception area, where residents like to sit, socialise and listen to music.
The Nursing floor is where highly qualified staff support the individual nursing needs of residents around the clock.
The homely, spacious bedrooms can be freshly decorated to each individual's tastes Residents, and their families, are encouraged to bring with them items that reflect their personalities.
Our dedicated staff take part in on-going and essential personal development training to maintain the high standard of care expected by not only residents and relatives, but also the CQC, local authority, the Home Manager and the different departments in the Home.
Our multi-displinary team also extends to GPs and Social Workers, with whom we have excellent working relationships. Regular visits by dentists, opticians and chiropodists also take place. We have a hairdresser who makes weekly visits to the home, in this way we ensure the holistic care of all our residents is met.
Social activities are arranged by our personal actvities co-ordinator who strives to provide a variety of fun and interesting activities as well as events and outings, particularly in the summer months.
We at Pelton Grange pride ourselves in delivering the highest standard of care, treating residents "as you would your own" in a safe, secure, homely environment.
