ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - PARKLANDS COURT NURSING HOME
This purpose-built home for elderly residents is conveniently located in the suburb of Bloxwich in Walsall. The home is on the local bus route and has two parks, a library and shops all within walking distance.
The care we offer
The home provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia care, convalescence, respite and palliative care. As you’d expect from Bupa, standards of care are second to none with registered nurses and highly trained care assistants providing 24-hour professional care and support. Residents funded by the local authority are welcomed, as are residents from private funding or NHS continuing care.
Food
Residents can enjoy a wide range of delicious meals, prepared by our chef. All menus are balanced and nutritious, prepared daily using fresh, seasonal produce, with a hot and cold choice at every meal. Residents' personal preferences and dietary requirements are assessed shortly after arrival and reflected in the menus. Residents' feedback is always welcome and, on their birthday, each resident is served a meal of their choice.
Residents can eat in the dining room, or in the privacy of their own room if they prefer. Alcohol is available if required with the evening meal and there is a Night Bite menu between 6.30pm and 6.30am for those who need it.
Activities
Residents are given every opportunity to stay active with a range of activities, specially designed to reflect their interests and abilities. There is a mobile library, on-site hairdresser and local entertainers visit regularly. Outings to local places of interest include Sandwell Valley Farm, the Walsall illuminations and to local parks and the garden centre.
