ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - OSJCT COOMBE END COURT
Coombe End Court provides accommodation to up to 60 older people. There is a unit on the ground floor which supports people with dementia care needs.
The home, located in Marlborough, Wiltshire, is operated by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT). OSJCT is a leading not for profit charity which provides care for older people in over 70 care homes and extra care schemes.
Coombe End Court is built in semi-contained wings, allowing residents to relax in their own, fully en suite room or the communal lounge areas. There is also a large, central "Heart of the Home", providing a friendly, social area for relaxation and entertainment. A hairdressing salon and a shop are attached to this area.
Other features include the Reminiscence Lounge and another small lounge which the residents helped to design and decorate themselves.
In the report compiled following the December 2013 inspection of the home, CQC noted a ‘non-compliance’ with the care home regulations. This is denoted by a red exclamation mark on their report. This non-compliance is being promptly addressed and closely monitored by the Trust to the satisfaction of CQC and we anticipate resolution in the near future.
