Old Gates, in Blackburn, provides the advantages of a modern care home within an attractive residential setting.
With three purpose-built houses, the breadth of our facilities means that you can rely on care that is tailored to you even if your needs change. Each house has its own team, who are dedicated to providing individual, quality care in a homely atmosphere. With no more than 30 residents, each house is a small community. The care we offer
Old Gates offers long-stay care and respite for wide-ranging care needs. Our three houses are each purpose-built, to help us provide truly individual care for you.
Cherry house is for residential care
Rowan house is for dementia care
Holly house is for nursing care
We also offer palliative care.
Our staff
At Old Gates, we pay close attention to our team to make sure that we always have the right number of experienced staff to provide quality care for you. We also work hard to retain the best people, to bring continuity to your ongoing care.
All of our staff are trained to Bupa’s high standards. We are also careful to recruit caring, people-focused staff, to make sure that you will always be treated as an individual.
Food
Freshly prepared meals are cooked at Old Gates each day. There are always hot and cold choices, selected for taste and nutrition, and homemade cakes at afternoon tea. After 6.30pm, our Night Bite menu gives you choice in snacks.
