Oak House is a detached property in Crawley within easy access of all amenities including the train station, bus stops, college, leisure centre and swimming pool. Oak House offers support for four adults with a learning disability and additional needs.
The people living at Oak House are all females, over forty and are supported by a female staff team who have a wealth of experience and qualifications. Oak House positively supports individuals with a learning disability and a range of individual needs including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mobility needs and agoraphobia.
The layout of Oak House provides a large lounge and separate dining room with patio doors to the garden, the kitchen also opens onto the garden. This home offers good wheelchair access throughout.
Always striving for excellent outcomes for individuals, Oak House promotes independence, involvement, inclusion, decision making and choice and facilitates new experiences. Person centred goal plans are formulated with each individual to work towards realising their dreams, aspirations and preferred lifestyles.
In addition to structured activities the ladies at Oak House enjoy a varied social life including shopping, trips to the coast, theatres, restaurants, coffee shops, dancing, playing the piano, flower arranging and gardening.
There is a positive atmosphere at Oak House with a good balance of opportunities for skill building, learning, relaxation, fun and leisure.
