Nunthorpe Oaks provides residential and palliative care for older people. Our dedicated staff focus on the promotion of personal dignity and independence.
Each person we support is treated as an individual and we develop a tailored care plan to meet their specific needs, choices and wishes.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
Nunthorpe Oaks has a homely and welcoming atmosphere and we provide a wide variety of leisure, social and recreational activities. We encourage people to live their lives as actively as they wish and we organise a range of activities including baking cakes, gardening, crafts, games and excursions in and around the local area.
Mealtimes are an important part of the day at Nunthorpe Oaks. Our experienced catering staff prepare a menu of home cooked food every day and we cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective.
Our skilled, experienced and knowledgeable staff provide as much or as little support required by the individual. Staff are always available to discuss any matter or concern and we encourage and value input from relatives.
The people we support also have access to other services including district nurses, opticians, dieticians, chiropodists, physiotherapists and complementary therapy services.
