ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MOUNT HALL NURSING HOME
Mount Hall is situated in the rural village of Bollington, close to Prestbury and Macclesfield and just 20 miles from Manchester. The home is furnished to a high standard throughout.
The care we offer
We offer several types of care depending on each individual, including long term nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative and respite care.
Food
Our chef likes to ensure that Mount Hall mealtimes are an enjoyable part of our residents' day. There is always a tasty seasonal menu, with hot and cold choices available. Delicious home-made cakes are a daily treat served with afternoon tea.
We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences shortly after their arrival. We check regularly that such needs are being met.
Activities
Residents are encouraged to maintain existing interests and hobbies and there are also plenty of new activities to try out. Our activity co-ordinator arranges an array of activities. These include quizzes, card making, flower arranging, film evenings, arts and crafts, reminiscence therapy and garden parties in the grounds. Residents also enjoy reflexology and massage sessions.
The home hosts several popular clubs for its residents including crosswords and reading and a gentleman's club. We have local entertainers visiting regularly. Excursions are arranged, for example a trip to the pub or shopping. Friends and relatives are more than welcome to participate in our activities if they wish.
Garden
The gardens at Mount Hall are extensive. There are six acres of beautiful landscaped grounds, including a summer house and a pond which attracts abundant wildlife. There are seating areas where residents can sit on sunny afternoons and a sensory garden offers stimulation to the senses. Residents who enjoy gardening are welcome to continue this interest at Mount Hall if they wish.
