ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MOULSHAM HOME
Moulsham Home is a small residential home situated in the centre of Chelmsford and walking distance into town and all local amenities. It is registered for older people and dementia. The home has been establised some 30 years and is person centred focused. The property is an old building some 100 years old and has been converted into a care home over the years and provides both single and shared bedrooms. The home has adaptions to aid clients with limited mobility which includes hoists, bathing hoists, passenger lift and stairlift. All staff undertake a thorough 12 week training programme and this includes dementia care, parkinson care, continence awareness, fire safety, person centred, first aid, food hygiene and many more. The home has a small back garden which comprises of seating areas and planted beds. A chef is employed 7 days a week to ensure that all meals are cooked from fresh and all diets are catered for. In house entertainment is booked monthly and varies according to residents requests, however the most popular is the animal therapy. We have a fish tank and also a resident cat at the home. Bedroom sizes vary from 10 sqm to 16sqm and most single bedrooms have ensuite facilities. The home offers permanent placements, respite and day care. All prospective clients are invited into the home for the day in order to sample the meals and be introduced to staffing and fellow residents. We have a residents computer system and WII as well as IPads and laptops available for the residents use.
