ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MORECAMBE BAY CARE HOME
Morecambe Bay Care Home consists of four self-contained units, each with its own dedicated staff team. We have units for general nursing, dementia nursing, a younger persons service and a specialised service that offers rehabilitation and recuperation.
We are more than just a nursing home. We strive to make it our residents' home, a place where people can maintain their independence and personal freedom and live their lives with enjoyment and fulfilment.
We aim to treat all our residents as we would wish to be treated ourselves. We aim to provide person centred care and ensure that everybody has choice, privacy and that their dignity is respected.
FSHC have many years experience of providing expert care to older and vulnerable people in a homely, family atmosphere. Everything is generated towards ensuring that our care home's residents are happy and that they are provided with dedicated, person centred care tailored to their individual needs. We provide support to relatives and families and they can visit the home at any time.
The home provides care to those who are privately funded or funded by the local authority. The rehabilitation unit has a contract with the local CCG and this is now in its second year.
Morecambe Bay is surrounded by places of local interest. We have the beautiful beaches and promenade and the seaside is close by. We have two lovely parks and the historic city of Lancaster, with its castle, is a short journey away.There are good transport links and the home has its own minibus available to ensure our residents have access to the local community.
