ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MONMOUTH COURT NURSING HOME
Monmouth Court is situated in the residential suburb of Maidenhall, about one mile from Ipswich city centre, in Suffolk.
The care we offer
Monmouth Court is a purpose-built single-storey home that has been designed specifically to meet the needs of older residents. There are four separate houses. Each provides specialist care including nursing care, although there are a number of residential care places too. We also provide convalescence, palliative care, respite and rehabilitation support. Monmouth Court also offers care to a number of residents over 50 with physical disabilities and specialist care for those with Parkinson’s disease, those who have brain injuries or dementia.
Food
Monmouth Court’s chef always ensures there is a tasty, seasonal menu, with a hot and cold choice available for residents. Delicious homemade cakes are served each day with afternoon tea, and for those wanting snacks, fruit and drinks between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am, there is a Night Bite menu available. We like to make a fuss on residents' birthdays - they receive a birthday meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake to celebrate.
We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences soon after their arrival, we also continually look for feedback so we can maintain the high standards of our food service.
Activities
Our activity co-ordinator plans many regular activities for residents, taking into account varying levels of ability - such as arts and crafts, games and fun filled games of bingo. There are regular excursions to local places of interest and the home hosts several popular clubs for its residents including gardening, reading, painting and knitting.
