Millstream House is an established, well appointed and comfortable home from which we are proud to offer dedicated residential care services for up to twenty-two adults living with Huntington’s disease. Respite support is also offered.
Millstream is a large, well adapted property which offers fully accessible spacious living areas. Specialist equipment is offered including seating, hoists and adapted bathrooms. There are beautiful grounds with established borders offering a peaceful outdoor sanctuary in addition to the friendly and respectful atmosphere of the home.
Easily accessible in Strood, Kent with south facing terraced gardens and views towards Rochester Cathedral and Castle, the home offers long and short-term person centred specialist care. The focus is on empowering and enabling each person we support to live in accordance with their wishes and to maintain their interests as their condition progresses.
Receiving on-going training and support from the Huntington’s Disease Association, our team are compassionate, experienced, knowledgeable and committed to meeting the individual needs of each person in our care as they, their families and carers each face the challenges of Huntington’s disease.
Millstream House provides a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who promotes a person centred approach; sourcing and tailoring activities for individual needs and interests, allowing the chance for those we support to access activities beneficial to them, giving every person support and encouragement to achieve their goals.
Millstream House is at the heart of ILG’s integrated pathway services for people living with Huntington’s disease.
