ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MICHOLLS HOUSE
Micholls House has four wheelchair-friendly, spacious flats each containing five en-suite bedrooms, promoting independent living in an engaging social environment. Staff are trained in managing complex epilepsy and care is tailored to the individual.
Residents have the opportunity to personalise their own bedrooms to make them as individual as they are themselves, as well as sharing light and modern communal areas.
Life at Epilepsy Society is never dull as we believe in ensuring that everyone gains as much as possible from recreational and leisure activities. We have a lively and active programme of events and offer a wide range of activities, trips and outings. An internet cafe, shop and social centre are also available on site, providing comfortable, safe and engaging meeting places.
Residents have the opportunity to learn new skills and realise their full potential. Our training for work team supports workplace opportunities both on site and off, including attendance at local further education colleges.
Our services include 24hr medical and nursing support. In addition to this high quality specialist care, residents have access to the renowned Sir William Gowers Assessment Centre and can benefit from our dedicated medical unit and pharmacy, all of which are situated on-site. The combination of support from experts trained in epilepsy care and access to our specialist medical services ensures the best possible safety and care for residents at all times.
