ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MEADOWCROFT RESIDENTIAL HOME
Meadowcroft is a Residential Care Home for up to five adults who have learning disabilities. It is shortly to deregister to Supported Living. We encourage the Service Users to lead full and independent lives, making their own choices and leading active lives in the local community.
We are fully compliant in our latest CQC Inspection.
We provide a homely environment with key objectives, to offer privacy, dignity, fulfilment and recognise that each person living at Meadowcroft is an individual, with different needs, skills and aspirations.
The property consists of two adjoining semi detached houses that have been converted and extended to create one five bedroomed detached house with ample lounge and dining room space. The house is situated in a residential area close to the centre of the village of South Zeal which offers a Methodist and Anglican Church, one shop and two public houses. Access to other Services are five miles away in the town of Okehampton. There is a local bus route and a shared vehicle for transport.
There is a large patio area to the rear of the home and a large garden, which has a greenhouse, lawns and a vegetable plot. We also make our own compost.
The downstairs bathroom has recently been renovated to include a walk-in bath and this is near the downstairs bedroom.
We are committed to person- centred Care Planning and offer Key workers who work with the person's unique communication style to create the Care Plan around them.
