ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MCCH - 1-2 DOWNER COURT

1-2 Downer Court is a registered service providing accommodation and personal care for up to seven people with a learning disability and associated physical disabilities. The accommodation is all at ground floor level and all areas are wheelchair accessible. The home is situated in a residential area of Chatham in Kent.

With 25 year's experience in the sector, mcch supports around 2,000 people in over 200 different services. We have a range of services that include registered care, supported living, home/community support, respite, support to find employment, enterprises and wellbeing services.

We have successfully deregistered services - providing individuals with greater independence and control over their lives. We are also a housing provider and own a number of properties where we act as landlord to people with learning disabilities. We also have experience in housing development and providing individual housing solutions for people we support and their families.

We always work in consultation and collaboration with individuals, their family members, partners, commissioners and other organisations, in order to achieve positive outcomes for people we support.

We are committed to providing a high standard of service to people we support, organisations we work in partnership with and other stakeholders. This is achieved through our Quality Framework, which features systems, quality assurance and promotes continuous improvement.

We have services regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who have set Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. Where Supporting People funding exists, we adhere to the Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) Standards through a process of service reviews. We also carry out our own internal audits, to ensure that services continue to provide the best possible support and care to people.
