ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - MAIDSTONE
We provide help and support for older people, care for people with dementia as well as support for those living with learning or physical disabilities. Currently our team provides support to over 600 people – each of them encouraged to help build their own personalised support plan.
Because our team incorporates so many different skills, we’re able to offer a truly flexible service which is fitted around the specific needs of each and every person we work with. Whatever people’s requirements we want them to feel safe in the knowledge that we’ll provide a service which is unique and meaningful to them.
A key factor in this is matching up the ‘enabler’ (our word for care or support worker) with the person receiving the support. This helps both sides build relationships and friendships which can last a long time. Companionship is extremely important; we want people to look on their enabler as a friend and advocate rather than a carer.
