ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - LITSLADE FARM

Litslade Farm is an adapted bungalow providing residential care for five people with learning disabilities. For the residents this is their home and so the caring and experienced staff team aim to support them to live as independently as possible in an environment which promotes positive engagement and personal fulfilment. Being a long-term home, the staff are able to build their understanding of the residents’ needs and preferences and work to meet those needs to provide high quality, personalised support.

 

The residents at Litslade Farm are either not able to communicate verbally or have limited verbal communication skills and can display behaviours which can challenge, but we believe that this should not hinder their ability to express themselves. All residents are encouraged and supported to add personal touches to their rooms and to get involved in the day-to-day running of the home, from helping to prepare meals to sorting their laundry. We encourage all residents to get involved in the community and to develop and maintain relationships, friendships and contact with families. Family members and friends are always welcome to visit. 

 

All our residents are treated with the upmost dignity and respect and we are dedicated to providing top quality personal care tailored to the needs of each individual resident. Staff are experienced in all aspects of personal care and the home is equipped with the most up-to-date facilities for administering such care such as a wet room with an adapted bath. Litslade Farm is fully accessible for wheelchair users and all residents are encouraged to be as active as possible around the home. We also value and promote equality and welcome diversity.
