Lindhurst Lodge occupies a central position at Athersley North, approximately three miles from Barnsley town centre.There are shops, pubs, a post office and other amenities within the vicinity. The home is a purpose built, ex local authority care home providing personal care and accommodation for 37 older people. It is a two-storey building with a passenger lift. There is a small car park to the front, and large private gardens to the rear.
