ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - LAWNFIELD HOUSE (MHA)
MHA acquired Lawnfield House in December 2007. The 36-bed residential and dementia Care Home is located in the heart of Northwest London, predominantly a residential area.
The Home has a large car park and a well-laid garden at the rear with raised flower beds, shrubbery, trees, flower pots and different sitting areas. This garden is specifically designed for residents with dementia.
The Home is built on five floors, which are served by a lift. Each floor has its own tastefully furnished lounge and dining area, a quiet room or television room where residents can relax and entertain visitors, and a well-equipped kitchenette. All bedrooms have en suite facilities and fitted wardrobes. The fifth floor offers various staff facilities such as a training room, changing rooms, shower rooms, toilets, en suite sleep-in room, and staff room.
A staff member said: “Lawnfield House is the Home for older people with mental health care needs in the borough, which makes us well-known within the community. We get a lot of visits from local people, including priests for our Catholic residents. We arrange many activities for residents such as flower arranging. These take place on the lower ground floor, which is dedicated to activities and events.”
