ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - LANE END ROAD
Lane End Road is a purpose built nine bedded residential care home newly built in 2011. People who choose to live at Lane End Road have usually experienced long term mental health distress, though some have a learning disability or other problems.
Most residents need the support of a longer stay in a residential home so that they can gradually extend their life skills. They use our help and support to ensure they make the most of living at Lane End Road, before moving to more independent accommodation. For some of our residents Lane End Road may be a long-term home and due to all residents displaying behaviours which can challenge, the caring and experienced staff team offer flexible care which can adapt to changing needs. We never forget that each person living with us will have unique hopes, fears and ambitions. That is why we place real importance on forming a partnership between staff and residents.
We believe that all residents should be as involved as possible in making decisions about their lives to become more independent. We aim to ensure high quality of life opportunities for each individual, including encouraging residents to use community resources and to develop and maintain friendships and contact with families. Family members and friends are always welcome to visit. Residents are encouraged to express themselves and live fulfilling and enjoyable lives. This can be as simple as residents adding their own personal touches to make their rooms more individual or being active in proposing a group outing at our regular house meetings. We aim to promote opportunities for residents to discuss their ideas in a friendly, informal setting and value their contributions to the running of the home.
The ground floor is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there is one adapted bedroom. We also value and promote equality and welcome diversity at Lane End Road.
