ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KINGSTON HOUSE
Kingston House is owned and operated by Greensleeves Homes Trust, a ‘not for profit’ charitable organisation providing care and accommodation for older people.
Located in the picturesque village of Derry Hill, in the Wiltshire countryside, Kingston House provides residential care to 31 older ladies and gentlemen. The home’s specialist dementia centre, Lavender Lodge provides further accommodation for 15 people.
Kingston House is a purpose built care home set in its own stunning grounds. Situated mid way, between Calne and Chippenham, the home offers the perfect mix of a relaxing rural location with easily accessible amenities in the nearby towns.
Accommodation in both the main house, and Lavender Lodge is afforded in bright and spacious en suite bedrooms. There are three comfortable lounges as well as a quiet library ensuring there is something for everyone. Other facilities include a dedicated hair salon and a warming sun lounge with beautiful views. The gardens have been landscaped to afford tranquil walks sampling the sights and sounds of the Wiltshire countryside.
On duty 24 hours a day, the home’s dedicated multi-disciplined team, provide high quality care to meet individual resident’s requirements.
Kingston House is accredited in the Eden Alternative philosophy of the care of older people. All our residents’ views, choices and preferences contribute to the daily running of their home. Regular residents meetings ensure that all the wishes of the residents are met.
A regular programme of activities is organised with fun and engaging pursuits. We regularly pop out for a pub lunch, visit the local garden centre or venture a little further afield.
We recognise that our residents have differing tastes and pleasures, and cater for each and every one as an individual. All food is freshly prepared to ensure dining is a real occasion, residents regularly update the menu with requests and ideas.
