ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KINGS MILL COURT
Kings Mill Court is a complex containing 12 self contained apartments, with additional communal facilities. Kings Mill Court offers a service for adults who have a learning disability, mental health issues or complex behavioral support needs. The complex includes4 fully disabled accessible apartments and hosts a range of assistive technology to assist & promote the clients independence.
The manager has achieved the registered managers qualification & is the registered manager with the care quality commission. A number of staff have achieved their NVQ or Diploma in health & social Care. Staff support clients with daily living tasks, social and leisure interests, maintenance of health and personal care as required.
All clients are consulted on their support needs and wishes & support is delivered with a person centered approach. Clients are encouraged to make decisions in all aspects of their lives. Clients also access day services of their choice within the local community, which include local authority provision and voluntary/ charitable organisations as well as community acitivities & facilities. Staff also support clients to use community facilities such as shops, libraries, sport centres, pubs and clubs etc
