ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KINGFISHER NURSING HOME
Kingfisher Nursing Home is a purpose built home that opened in 1991 and is located on the ground floor of Emmanuel Lodge. It is situated in a delightful area of parkland on the outskirts of Cheshunt where there is easy access to shops, pubs and bus services. The A10 trunk road, the M25 motorway and rail links are nearby and the home has its own car park.
It is owned by Westgate Healthcare, a family run Award Winning business (see article below), who have over 20 years of experience in successfully providing the care and support that their residents require.
The home is registered to care for up to 22 physically frail elderly service users in need of nursing care and offers:

Respite Care
Palliative Care
The home offers care for both private users and those who are referred by social services.
Our main aim is to provide person centred care by giving every resident the freedom to continue their daily lives with dignity, independence, privacy and the widest possible personal choice.
Our experienced and qualified staff ensure that the care provided is entirely tailored to the needs and desires of our residents and any additional services required can always be arranged. Each resident has their own detailed care plan which encompasses health, physical, social & psychological needs.
The home has level access suitable for wheelchairs throughout and has 16 single bedrooms and 3 shared bedrooms let as single rooms or to couples (by arrangement). All rooms have washbasins and are tastefully and comfortably furnished with safety in mind.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing their own belongings and appropriate items of furniture.
Residents enjoy a good choice of appetising and wholesome food personally served by our skilled and friendly chefs and there are regular deliveries of fresh produce. Special diets can be catered for.
