ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KILMORY

Kilmory supports five young adults with a learning disability and complex needs including Autism, various health needs and associated mobility needs.

The people living at Kilmory are all young men who benefits from a structured routine and active days taking part in activities of their choice which include swimming, horse riding, college and trips out. The home has a vehicle available for travelling to activities or attending health appointments.

Individuals living at Kilmory are supported to develop their skills in the service and in their local community with opportunities for education and employment available for those who are interested.

The staff team are trained in supporting individuals with epilepsy including the use of rescue medication. Assistive technology is also used where possible to promote independence without compromising the monitoring of an individual.

The staff team are also skilled in supporting people with unique tailored menus and special diets around food intolerances and allergies.

Kilmory is in a village location with good amenities and transport networks. The local shop is a short 5-10 minute walk away from the home and local pubs are only a short drive away.

The A3 motorway on the doorstep of the home offers easy access to larger cities such as Guildford and Portsmouth.

One of our nursing services is nearby and offers access to qualified nursing support on a daily basis. The Grove, our day opportunities centre in Hindhead, is only four miles away and the people living at Kilmory are able to access the facilities on offer.

Kilmory is a spacious detached property with five bedrooms.

One bedroom is located on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom, the other bedrooms are on the first floor and share two bathrooms.

Kilmory also offers great outdoor space with a wrap around garden to the back and side of the building with a lawn and patio areas.
