ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - KEW GARDENS
Kew Gardens Care Home provides specialist dementia, nursing, residential and palliative care for older people. Our friendly, dedicated and highly trained team of nurses and care staff are available 24 hours a day. We are focused on ensuring people receive the highest standard of care to suit their individual needs.
We enable people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed at home. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We encourage friends and family to be involved through regular visits and participation at special activities, events and open days.
Our activities co-ordinator encourages and supports residents to take part in a wide variety of social and leisure activities including tai chi, music and exercise therapy. Our annual summer fete and Christmas carol services are great opportunities for residents to spend time with family and friends.
Hairdressers, beauticians, physiotherapists, opticians and chiropodists make visits to the home on a monthly basis. Weekly aromatherapy sessions and pet therapy are popular activities amongst some residents.
Our full-time experienced cook provides a flexible menu and a wide choice is available dependent on dietary requirements. The menu is updated on a regular basis in order to provide a nutritious and varied diet. Room service is available and drinks are readily available for residents. Visitors are very welcome to join us for meals.
