ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - JOINT COMMUNITY REHABILITATION SERVICE
The joint Community Rehabilitation Service based at Firwood House is a rehabilitation and reablement service operated jointly by East Sussex County Council and the local NHS trust. The service can support up to 70 people dependent on needs. It provides short term support of up to six weeks to people in their own homes usually following discharge from hospital following a stroke, orthopaedic trauma or accident. Referrals can also be made to the service from community health or social care professionals. The service has access to Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy staff to help with rehabilitation.
