Holy Cross Care Home is owned by the Grace and Compassion Benedictines, and is a spacious newly built home located within the stunning grounds of Holy Cross Priory, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
At Holy Cross Care Home, we are dedicated in providing high quality Nursing and Residential Care which can be short term, long term or respite care. The Manager and Staff are highly qualified and experienced in the care of the elderly, enabling them to provide 24 hour support in a compassionate, professional and kind manner.
We understand that each resident is an individual with their own lifetime of experiences, interests and memories; with their choices and participation being central. Our personalised care plans enable our residents to continue to live a life that is fulfilled, active and as independent as possible. We strive to offer this personalised care to family and friends also, offering both emotional and practical support and open visiting.
Our home is spacious and light and offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our "village type" reception area includes a hairdressing salon, a small shop, chapel and comfortable sitting area. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and include en-suite facilities. The home also has comfortable lounges, quiet sitting areas and conservatories with beautiful views of the Priory. Outside we have various walking and sitting areas and a bowling and croquet lawn.
We understand that each resident has different interests and abilities and our activity programme is designed accordingly, offering a wide range of activities and interesting events for residents to choose from.
Our Chef plans tasty and nutritious menus based around the resident's preferences and special dietary needs. Family and friends are always welcome to join a resident for a meal when they visit.
The Benedictine Sisters have a very active and important role in the Care Home, ensuring all who come, including guests, are welcomed as part of the family.
