ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HILLBROW
Hillbrow provides support for seven adults with a learning disability, enduring mental health needs and associated complex behaviours. The people currently living at the service are over 35 and are physically able individuals who enjoy an active lifestyle and are keen to participate in the day to day running of their service.
Individuals living at Hillbrow benefit from a personalised care package, Person Centred Care Plans and Positive Behavioural Support Plans, which will enable them to receive consistent support. Within this service each individual is encouraged to devise and engage in a weekly programme of activities to include opportunities for education, leisure, social and fun activities alongside further development of independent living skills such as budget management, cooking, travelling independently as well as health and safety within the home.
The long term aim for such programmes is for individuals to move into more independent services or supported living if they choose to.
Hillbrow is situated in a residential area on the outskirts of Dover. It is close to local amenities with good access to public transport into the town centre.
