In a pleasant leafy suburb of Elstree in Hertfordshire, close to London, this 18th Century listed building was historically a school, and has now been extended and fully modernised to create an attractive, well-equipped home, easily accessible from the M1.
The care we offer Hill House provides care for young people with physical disabilities as well as older people requiring residential or nursing care. The home can also provide shorter stays for convalescence and respite. Bupa takes staff training very seriously - all Hill House's nurses and carers are trained to provide excellent, individualised care under the supervision of the experienced home manager.
Key features of Hill House Originally a private house built in the late 1700s, Hill House was used as a school before being tastefully converted and modernised for the needs of residents, including full lift access. The home is within walking distance of local shops and on the main bus route into Borehamwood, Watford and Edgware. There are many attractive, furnished lounges and spacious dining rooms, a quiet library and beautiful large landscaped gardens. The home also offers overnight accommodation for relatives for added convenience.
Home life With a total of nine comfortable lounges, there is ample space for residents to relax, watch television, entertain guests, join in many of the activities on offer or simply enjoy some quiet time. The home has its own minibus and there are regular trips to places such as the local forest for a picnic, to the cinema or into London.
