ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HEATH HOUSE
Heath House Nursing Care Home was established in September 2005 and is situated on Walkers Heath Road in Kings Norton. The Home has been extended and refurbished to a very high standard, while retaining many original period features.
Heath House has 45 beds and is divided into two units namely Heathside Unit and Walkers Lodge. The Home specialises in Enduring Mental Health and Dementia.
The Home caters for the full range of dietary requirements, whilst providing excellent home – cooked dishes. Meals can be taken in the dining room, lounge or the comfort of your privacy if wished.
Our enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator arranges a wide variety of social activities, including classical musical sessions, religious services, painting, bingo, story book making and various other enjoyable activities. The large rear grounds are extensively used for summer garden parties and fetes. The garden is open to the residents all year round for their pleasure and enjoyment.
Health needs are constantly monitored under the direction of our experienced Qualified Nurses and our team of dedicated care assistants, in association with other specialist professionals. Relatives are very much encouraged to take part in the care and their input is highly valued.
Local General Practitioner, opticians, chiropodist, hairdresser and dentist visit the Home on a regular basis. A range of specialist equipment is also available to assist individuals to maintain their independence.
We accept local authority-funded residents. Heath House also provides respite care.
There are good local transport links and there is also a mini bus available to help our residents access the local community.
