Hawkesgarth Lodge provides expert nursing, dementia and residential care in a homely, safe and comfortable environment. At Hawkesgarth Lodge we provide care that is of the highest standard that is tailored to meet individuals’ needs, wishes and choices. We offer a range of facilities and activities to help people increase their independence. We strive to provide an atmosphere where people can really feel at home.
We support people to maintain lifestyles that are as similar as possible to those enjoyed before they arrived at Hawkesgarth Lodge. We encourage regular interaction with the local community, including contact with friends, family and local groups. We provide a safe and supportive environment and residents are encourage to take part in a wide variety of social and leisure activities. People are encouraged to maintain links with the local community and continue with the interests and hobbies they enjoyed prior to coming to Hawkesgarth Lodge.
A full time qualified cook is responsible for the kitchen. Mealtimes are flexible and a choice of menu is available. A four week menu is operated and changed on a regular basis in order to provide a nutritious and varied diet. We cater for individual likes and dislikes from a cultural, religious or choice perspective. Room service is also offered as an option and beverages are always readily available.
Spatial separation throughout the home enables people to retain privacy and dignity, while communal areas provide people with the opportunity to become involved with a range of activities. Some of the activities available include music and movement, gardening, reading and a weekly memory café. We also have specialist stimulating equipment, one-to-one interactions for people receiving palliative care and we have a range of sensory equipment. People benefit from excursions in our mini bus and we grant individual wishes to each person as part of our dignity drive.
