The care we offer
Hatfield Peveral comprises two houses, each unique in character and in the care and support it offers.
Kingfisher House - cares for frail elderly
Mallard House - offers expert nursing dementia care
Short and long stay care can also be offered including nursing, residential, convalescence, respite and palliative care. Standards of care and cleanliness are second to none, as you would expect from Bupa. Our staff are highly-trained and experienced at providing dignified, professional care for people with dementia and complex nursing needs.
Food
Residents can choose to eat in the home's conservatory dining room overlooking the gardens or in their own room, if they prefer. A balanced, nutritious, seasonal menu using fresh produce is offered daily, with hot and cold choices at every meal.
Residents' personal preferences and dietary requirements are assessed on arrival and regularly thereafter. The home manager at Hatfield Peveral Lodge likes to join her residents for meals a couple of times a week and the chef is always asking for feedback in order to maintain an enjoyable menu.
Activities
As well as joining in group activities such as quizzes, pampering sessions and musical afternoons, residents are encouraged to stay active throughout the day through activities such as gentle gardening.
Exercise to music classes are enjoyed as are the monthly social evenings that are arranged for friends and relatives. The activity co-ordinator at Hatfield Peveral organises numerous events and activities, which are displayed on posters around the home.
The home has close links to the local community and the home hires a bus for regular outings to the garden centre, the theatre or to the Christmas pantomime. The home boasts its own hairdressing facilities and the hairdresser visits every Thursday.
