ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HARNHAM CROFT NURSING HOME
Harnham Croft is situated in the conservation area of Harnham. It offers spectacular views across the River Nadder, the water meadows and historic Salisbury Cathedral. Previously a busy maternity hospital, some existing residents were born or gave birth here.
The care we offer
The home offers several types of stay from long-term nursing care to short-term respite along with convalescence and palliative care.
Food
Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day. Our chef, who has been at Harnham Croft for over 15 years, visits every resident shortly after arrival to assess what foods they enjoy and note any dietary requirements. A menu of nutritionally balanced and delicious food is produced to meet all needs and tastes. Residents can make mealtimes a social occasion by choosing to eat in the dining room or may perhaps enjoy the privacy and quiet of their own room.
Activities
At Harnham Croft, existing interests can be continued and new activities are encouraged. Annual social highlights are the spring fair, garden party and summer fete. There is an on-site hairdresser, visits from a mobile library and regular trips to local places of interest. Clubs are held for residents with common interests. Personal hobbies or spontaneous pastimes, such as a walk in the garden or playing cards with friends, are valued and help residents to maintain their independence and freedom. Friends and relatives are always welcome to join any activities or outings.
