ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HAMBLETON & RICHMONDSHIRE BRANCH (DOMICILIARY CARE SERVICES) (NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL)
This service provides personal care in people's own homes, through a short term assessment and re-ablement team (START). This offers short term support to help people regain their independence after an accident or ill health, or to help those with a disability remain independent. After a six week period of support, peoples needs are reassessed, and they are discharged from the service, or offered continuing support from social care services. Some longer term care is also currently provided.
