ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - HALL FARM

Hall Farm is a specialist service providing residential support for people with learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries. The service is in a rural setting on the border of North Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.

Personalisation of service delivery is core to the fundamental ethos and working practice at the service. The staff team work with each individual to produce specific Person Centred plans which are reviewed regularly to enable everyone to achieve their full potential and make choices about their lifestyle. These plans also incorporate dreams and aspirations, which in some cases may include the transition from residential services to supported living, if the person wishes.

The home is situated within large gardens and is adjacent to the Voyage Care bird and animal centre which boasts a large number of courses that are available to the people living in the home including animal husbandry, woodwork and crafts and birds of prey.  There are a large number of activities available locally during the week which can be accessed with support from staff. These include computer studies, workplace opportunities, gyms and local colleges

A wide range of leisure activities are available at evenings and weekends. Each person pursues activities based on their own individual interests and choices but examples include snooker, swimming, cinema and ten pin bowling. There are also opportunities for annual holidays with recent trips including countryside camping, historical York and one person choosing a week in Spain.

All members of the staff team are trained to the highest levels and are extremely motivated, taking great pride in delivering the optimum levels of support and professionalism.
