ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GROSVENOR HOUSE
Grosvenor House is owned and operated by Greensleeves Homes Trust, a ‘not for profit’ charitable organisation providing care and accommodation for older people.
Grosvenor House is located on the sea front in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. The home provides accommodation and residential care to 33 older ladies and gentlemen, with en suite bedrooms, many of which have stunning sea views.
The bedrooms are bright and airy, each tastefully furnished and decorated. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture.
Fresh sea air and a relaxing atmosphere afford a very special care setting at Grosvenor House. During the summer months, the residents spend much of their time on the balcony overlooking the crown green bowls club and the promenade, either simply enjoying the sunshine or joining in with any of the daily activities.
A regular programme of activities is organised with fun and engaging pursuits provided daily. As an established home with an excellent reputation we have strong links with the local community, ensuring a regular stream of interesting guests and entertainers.
On duty 24 hours a day, the home’s dedicated multi-disciplined team, provide high quality care to meet individual resident’s requirements.
Grosvenor House follows the Eden Alternative philosophy in the care of older people. All our residents’ views, choices and preferences contribute to the daily running of their home. Our Grosvenor House volunteer team offers further new ideas on improving residents’ lifestyles.
We recognise that our residents have differing tastes and pleasures, and cater for each and every one as an individual. All food is freshly prepared and well presented to ensure dining is a real occasion, residents regularly update the menu with requests and ideas. There are no set meal times at Grosvenor House and residents may choose to eat whenever they wish.
