ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GREENGABLES NURSING CENTRE
This large Victorian house in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Congleton, Cheshire has been carefully converted and extended into a comfortable home. Small and friendly, Greengables is a real 'home from home'. You can be guaranteed a warm welcome from the manager and her team. The home's convenient yet tranquil location is less than a mile away from the local shops and amenities of Congleton town centre.
The care we offer
Greengables can offer a range of stays depending on individual needs, from daily nursing and palliative care, to convalescence, respite and specialist care for those with Parkinson's disease. The home's standard of care and cleanliness is excellent, with dedicated nurses and highly-trained care assistants providing professional, 24-hour support.
Food
Mealtimes are an important part of each day at Greengables. Our chef always ensures there is a tasty, seasonal menu, with a hot and cold choice available at each meal. Delicious home-made food is served daily, and there is a Night Bite menu available between 6.30pm and 6.30am. As well as our everyday menus, we make sure that on their birthday each resident receives a favourite meal of their choice and a personalised home-made birthday cake.
We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences soon after their arrival. We also continually look for feedback so we can continue to improve our food service.
Activities
The home's dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures there is always something interesting to do, including reminiscence sessions, afternoon quizzes, sing-a-longs with local entertainers and trips out for a pub lunch. Residents are encouraged to pursue personal hobbies as well as join one of the homes many groups and clubs, including our gardening club and poetry groups.
