ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GODDEN LODGE RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING HOME
Godden Lodge is a modern, purpose-built home that offers a range of care services. It is situated in a residential area of Thundersley, in Benfleet within close proximity to the coast.
The care we offer
We provide the highest standards of residential care, nursing, residential dementia care, nursing dementia care and convalescence. Palliative care and respite are offered along with specialist care for those with Parkinson’s disease. Highly trained and dedicated care assistants are employed to provide professional, 24-hour care and support.
Food
Our chef offers a wide range of balanced, wholesome dishes on our daily menu. These are made using only seasonal ingredients and prepared using only the freshest produce. All of our menus are nutritionally balanced, and we cater for all tastes and diets. In addition to meals, there is a Night Bite menu available between 6.30pm and 6.30am. Residents can enjoy sociable meals in the dining rooms, or choose to eat in their own room, if preferred. On warmer days some residents choose to eat in the delightful gardens and enjoy the scenery.
Activities
Each house has its own activity co-ordinator to arrange different things to do every day, taking into account our residents’ interests and levels of mobility. Residents can enjoy participating in the home’s many clubs which include ones for painting and reading. Gardening, games and singing sessions are popular, as are the outings to Southend and other local places of interest.
The home takes part in regular seasonal activities, including a summer fete, a Halloween and Bonfire Night in the winter as well as many Christmas festivities. Friends and family are always most welcome also participate in our events and activities.
