ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - GLENDALE
At Glendale we support three individuals with learning disabilities in all aspects of their lives. The service is in a residential area of Hartlepool. There are shops within walking distance and easy access to the city centre by bus.
We use local facilities, such as shops, the church and pubs, and take part in community groups. We hold monthly social events at the local pub which give everyone from the service and people from the local area an opportunity to socialise and make new friends.
We believe our success is based on the happiness and wellbeing of the people we support. Our aim is to support them to achieve their goals in life. Staff listen to and understand each individual’s needs and actively seek out opportunities for everyone to develop their skills and confidence. Monthly keyworker meetings are used to identify individual goals.
Each person is supported to take part in daily living skills and encouraged to contribute to the way the service is run.
Glendale is a four bedroom bungalow with front and rear gardens. The service is wheelchair accessible and bathrooms can be adapted to meet the needs of each individual.
