Ghyll Grove is a modern, purpose-built home, situated in a quiet residential area of Basildon. It is attractively decorated with a layout specifically tailored to residents’ needs.
The care we offer
Ghyll Grove provides individual care for residential, nursing, convalescence, palliative care, and respite. We also specialise in both residential and nursing dementia care and are able to provide care for young physically disabled residents, as well as specialist care for people with Parkinson’s disease.
Food
The experienced chef at Ghyll Grove caters for all tastes and dietary requirements. We aim to fully understand new residents' nutritional needs, tastes, special diets and preferences shortly after their arrival with us.
The menu changes daily and features well-balanced, nutritious dishes that are freshly prepared from the seasonal ingredients. Mealtimes are important for our residents, who enjoy the sociable atmosphere of the dining rooms. Meals can always be eaten in residents’ own rooms, if they prefer.
We make sure that each resident receives a celebratory meal on their birthday and a personalised birthday cake made by the chef. This makes their day extra special.
Activities
Residents at Ghyll Grove are invited to participate in a variety of daily activities, organised by the dedicated activity co-ordinator. These are designed to suit all interests and levels of mobility. There is plenty of time for existing hobbies and interests to be pursued, or for new ones to be discovered. Visitors are always most welcome, and can join in with the activities if they wish.
