ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - FREEMAN HOUSE
Freeman House - part of the Quantum Care group - is situated on the outskirts of Letchworth, near local shops and amenities, and we pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere. We provide care for 48 older people with a variety of care needs, including specialist dementia care.
The home is accredited by Hertfordshire County Council to provide specialist dementia care, and has to undergo a rigorous annual evaluation process in order to achieve that status.
Built on three floors, the home has large bright bedrooms, lounges, fully equipped kitchens and is surrounded by pleasant enclosed gardens. All bedrooms are singles and have telephones and TV sockets.
Our modern kitchen provides hot, nutritious meals every day and can cater for special dietary needs. There is always a choice of dishes, and residents are involved in drawing up the menu.
We offer an excellent programme of weekly activities, with regular visits from entertainers, excursions to the local countryside, public events throughout the summer months, as well as special celebrations for religious festivals and birthdays.
