ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ENNERDALE NURSING CENTRE

Ennerdale is located in the grounds of Aintree University Hospital, Fazakerley, just five miles from Liverpool city centre. The home has strong links with the community and enjoys regular visits from local schools to get involved in arts and crafts and other activities.

The care we offer Ennerdale specialises in residential dementia care although does also provide nursing care, convalescence and palliative care. Those who need respite or short stay care are also welcome.

Care at Ennerdale is offered by registered and qualified nurses. All our care staff are trained in care essentials - some to NVQ levels two and three. Our registered nurses are included in an ongoing development programme. 

Food

Residents enjoy the appetising meals served at Ennerdale. Our experienced chef creates interesting, nutritious dishes for our varied daily menus, using fresh seasonal ingredients. All tastes and dietary requirements are catered for. Residents can enjoy sociable meals in the dining rooms, or take meals in their own rooms if they prefer.

Activities

Residents are encouraged to lead as full and active a lifestyle as possible. Our dedicated activity co-ordinator takes into account individual interests and levels of ability, and arranges activities that are both mentally and physically stimulating. These can include everything from gentle gardening and flower arranging, to film afternoons, bingo and quizzes.

There are seasonal themed events held every month which include Mother’s Day, Wimbledon and Pancake day to name just a few.

Local entertainers regularly visit us, and outings to local places of interest are often arranged, such as visits to Southport Floral Hall, Crosby Civic Hall, and Harry Ramsden’s for fish and chip lunches. Residents’ friends and relatives are also encouraged to come along and get involved.
