ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ELSTREE COURT NURSING CENTRE
Just 10 minutes drive from Eastbourne and a short walk to Meads village. Elstree Court is a former private house that has been carefully converted into a pleasant, well-equipped home for older residents.
The care we offer Elstree Court offers several types of stay depending on the individual level of support required. This ranges from long-term nursing and palliative care to convalescence and respite. Our carers provide professional, 24-hour support and have the highest NVQ achievement rate in the care sector.
Food Mealtimes are enjoyable and sociable at Elstree Court and residents can choose to dine in the home’s traditional-styled dining rooms or in their own rooms if they prefer.
A balanced, nutritious menu is offered daily, using only the freshest produce. We appreciate how important it is to offer variety and every resident has their personal preferences and special requirements assessed by the home's chef shortly after their arrival.
In the morning residents are offered a hot drink before going on to choose from a full English or continental breakfast and cereals. We offer two course meals including hot and cold desserts, as well as a range of lighter alternatives. Throughout the day there are snacks on offer, and we also have a Night Bite menu for those who want to eat between 6.30pm and 6.30am.
Activities There is a stimulating programme of activities including movement to music, arts and crafts and trips to local places of interest. As well as helping residents with individual hobbies and interests, our activity co-ordinator also organises the numerous clubs and group activities in the home.
At Elstree Court we also have at least one special event every month, including Burns night, Mother's day celebrations and an annual summer fete. Residents often look forward to these as they are wonderful sociable occasions where relatives and guests are invited to join in the fun.
