ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - ELMSTEAD RESIDENTIAL HOME

A modern, well equipped home in the suburb of Chislehurst, Elmstead has been carefully designed and adapted to provide dementia and residential care.


 

The care we offer

This home provides long term care for people with dementia, in addition to convalescence, residential, respite, palliative and day care. At Elmstead we offer personalised care that is focused on the needs of individual residents and our dedicated staff provides 24-hour care in a professional and respectful way.

 

Day Care

We open our doors from Monday to Saturday to those who require day care facilities, with care provided by staff that have been fully trained in all aspects of elderly care, including dementia care. Our day care residents are offered a safe, secure environment with a full suite of services, including a hot lunch, snacks and refreshments throughout the day, plus any personal care such as bathing or hair washing. Residents are welcome to join in with any of Elmstead's activities, which incorporate a cooking club, arts and crafts, gardening, flower arranging and reminiscence sessions.

For an additional fee we can also help with transporting day care residents to and from the home, as well as on-site hairdressing services and chiropody, if required.

 

Food

At Elmstead, residents enjoy a daily menu of balanced, nutritious food. Residents can choose to eat in the home’s traditional dining rooms or in their own rooms if they prefer, and residents' individual preferences and dietary needs are always a priority.

 

Activities

We have a dedicated activity co-ordinator who ensures that each resident is able to pursue their own hobbies and interests. There are also clubs and group events that residents can join and there is always something in the calendar to look forward to at Elmstead.
